This is a companion novella to On the Island, but I highly suggest you read On the Island first just because you'll enjoy this one more.  Seeing the characters we came to love, Anna and TJ but also meeting a new one, Owen.

In On the Island they found some bones on the island and this novella is about those bones and how they came to be there.  It was very interesting because I really had no idea how it might go.  We get Owen's story from when and why he went to the island, how long he was there, what he did there and what happened.  It was very fast paced and easy to read.  It's short anyway, but I found it incredibly interesting.  There's a bit of romance in it as well as a peek at Anna and T.J. and their family and how they are getting along.

I was a fan of On the Island, but one of my favorite aspects of it was the island itself.  I just love picturing all that gorgeous sea around them.  And the dolphins, I love the dolphins!  We see them again in this one.  And while I know it's dangerous and scary on the island, it's also peaceful and tranquil.  It may have been a prison for a time, but it sure was a pretty one!

I definitely recommend you give this a shot, after you read On the Island!
