First of all, that cover is really cool.  It was what first caught my eye and pulled me in.  I'm not a huge mystery fan, but I do like to throw one in occasionally and if you toss in a bit of supernatural it's even better. But when I went into this book I wasn't sure what I would think of it.  And it took me awhile to actually like it.  At first I felt overwhelmed with characters, which I don't really understand since there wasn't really that many.  I think the way things went together just wasn't really connecting in my brain and I wasn't totally understanding what was going on.  I'm not sure if it was the writing or just my own state of mind.  I actually thought I might give up on it.  But I forced myself to continue on and after I read several chapters I suddenly realized that I was connecting things better and understanding what was happening.  And I was enjoying it!  And it just got better.  Actually the halfway point on was really good but it got pretty good before the halfway point even.  

While I can't say I LOVED the book, I did end up enjoying it quite a bit.  I was often frustrated with the main character, Liz because of her refusal to believe in anything and ignoring the obvious.  She did grow as a character though and apparently was more open minded then she thought she was.  

The other characters were pretty well done, I could picture them all quite well and their personalities stood out.  Nick was actually pretty great as a character and a love interest and I liked that things weren't complicated with them really.  It was kind of a what happens happens kind of thing and no denial or anything annoying like that.  

The mystery was good.  I didn't figure it out or connect things that maybe I should have and I was completely surprised with how and where things went.  I was glued to the page for the entire last several chapters, dying to see what would happen, who was guilty, etc.
