Meredith Zeitlin and her talking cats... Freshman Year and Other Unnatural Disasters, a MUST read!

Have you read Freshman Year and Other Unnatural Disasters yet?  If your answer is no, then what's wrong with you?!  Seriously, this is a MUST read!  This is the kind of book you need to read when you're in a reading funk or just need something light and funny.  It's one of the few books I read this year that as soon as I finished I wanted to start it all over again.  Seriously guys, LOVED it!  Go check out my review HERE.

I don't normally post things like this, so this shows you how serious I really am about how strong my love is for this book.  But first you'll want to know a bit more about it...

Freshman Year and Other Unnatural Disasters by Meredith Zeitlin
Hardcover (paperback in March!), 288 pages
Published March 1st, 2012 by G.P. Putnam Sons
Kelsey Finkelstein is fourteen and FRUSTRATED. Every time she tries to live up to her awesome potential, her plans are foiled – by her impossible parents, her annoying little sister, and life in general. But with her first day of high school coming up, Kelsey is positive that things are going to change. Enlisting the help of her three best friends — sweet and quiet Em, theatrical Cass, and wild JoJo — Kelsey gets ready to rebrand herself and make the kind of mark she knows is her destiny.

Things start out great - her arch-nemesis has moved across the country, giving Kelsey the perfect opportunity to stand out on the soccer team and finally catch the eye of her long-time crush. But soon enough, an evil junior’s thirst for revenge, a mysterious photographer, and a series of other catastrophes make it clear that just because KELSEY has a plan for greatness… it doesn’t mean the rest of the world is in on it.

Kelsey’s hilarious commentary throughout her disastrous freshman year will have you laughing out loud—while being thankful that you’re not in her shoes, of course…

Meredith Zeitlin is such a fun person that she does these cool videos with her talking cats.  Yeah, her cats can talk!  LOL.  No, but they are very entertaining and here's her latest one.

Here's the original one she did.

And here is the totally amazing book trailer for those of you haven't seen it yet.

Don't Breathe a Word Book Trailer!

This book is absolutely incredible!  If you haven't read it yet you must.  Seriously, read it!
Joy Delamere is suffocating...

From asthma, which has nearly claimed her life. From her parents, who will do anything to keep that from happening. From delectably dangerous Asher, who is smothering her from the inside out.

Joy can take his words - tender words, cruel words - until the night they go too far.

Now, Joy will leave everything behind to find the one who has offered his help, a homeless boy called Creed. She will become someone else. She will learn to survive. She will breathe... if only she can get to Creed before it’s too late.

Set against the gritty backdrop of Seattle’s streets and a cast of characters with secrets of their own, Holly Cupala’s powerful new novel explores the subtleties of abuse, the meaning of love, and how far a girl will go to discover her own strength.

Giveaway: The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of her Own Making

"Twelve-year-old September lives in Omaha, and used to have an ordinary life, until her father went to war and her mother went to work. One day, September is met at her kitchen window by a Green Wind (taking the form of a gentleman in a green jacket), who invites her on an adventure, implying that her help is needed in Fairyland. The new Marquess is unpredictable and fickle, and also not much older than September. Only September can retrieve a talisman the Marquess wants from the enchanted woods, and if she doesn?t . . . then the Marquess will make life impossible for the inhabitants of Fairyland. September is already making new friends, including a book-loving Wyvern and a mysterious boy named Saturday.

With exquisite illustrations by acclaimed artist Ana Juan, Fairyland lives up to the sensation it created when the author first posted it online. For readers of all ages who love the charm of Alice in Wonderland and the soul of The Golden Compass, here is a reading experience unto itself: unforgettable, and so very beautiful."

Cascade Book Trailer!

You may recall my enthusiastic review of Waterfall by Lisa Bergren (HERE) and how in love I was with the amazing time travel story.  Well, the second book, Cascade, comes out this month and the book trailer is now out for me to share with all of you!
Waterfall description:
Lisa Tawn Bergren's new YA series, River of Time, is romantic, historical fiction in which the plucky heroine doesn't have to fear a vampire's bite but must still fight for her life.
In Waterfall, American teenager Gabi Betarrini accidently finds herself in Fourteenth-Century Italy . . . Knights. Swords. Horses. Armor. And Italian hotties. Most American teens want an Italian vacation, but the Betarrini sisters have spent every summer of their lives there with their archaeologist parents. Stuck on yet another hot, dusty dig, they are bored out of their minds... until they place their hands atop handprints in an ancient tomb and find themselves catapulted into the Fourteenth Century and in the middle of a fierce battle between knights bent on killing one another.
This trailer is just awesome!  I have to say that I think it tears me up a little.  It's the music.  It all just seems so romantic!
I just got Cascade for review this week and I'm itching to read it!  I have a book I need to get to before it, but it'll definitely be next!  This series is just amazing!

A Need So Beautiful Trailer & Suzanne Young sold another series!

So I have this little book I read a couple months ago called A Need So Beautiful.  (Out June 21st, 2011)

Description:
Charlotte’s best friend thinks Charlotte might be psychic. Her boyfriend thinks she’s cheating on him. But Charlotte knows what’s really wrong: She is one of the Forgotten, a kind of angel on earth, who feels the Need—a powerful, uncontrollable draw to help someone, usually a stranger.
But Charlotte never wanted this responsibility. What she wants is to help her best friend, whose life is spiraling out of control. She wants to lie in her boyfriend's arms forever. But as the Need grows stronger, it begins to take a dangerous toll on Charlotte. And who she was, is, and will become--her mark on this earth, her very existence--is in jeopardy of disappearing completely.
Charlotte will be forced to choose: Should she embrace her fate as a Forgotten, a fate that promises to rip her from the lives of those she loves forever? Or is she willing to fight against her destiny--no matter how dark the consequences?
Perhaps you've heard of it? ;) It's by the lovely Suzanne Young who happens to be a wonderful local author to me and someone who I've had the pleasure of spending some time with.  When I heard of A Need so Beautiful last year I was immediately excited and told Suzanne she was going to be a super famous author one day soon because of the ideas she was throwing out there and the excitement she had for these books she was working on.  Well, she's definitely getting there because she just sold another series of books!  Here's what she posted:
THE PROGRAM, in which teen suicide is an epidemic and a girl struggles to stay out of the Program - a preventative treatment that will erase her memories - in order to save herself and the boyfriend who's already forgotten her.
It's to be published by Simon Pulse/ Simon & Schuster in Spring 2013.  Yes, a VERY long ways off!   I know I'll be very impatient.

In the meantime I'll have to be happy with A Need So Beautiful, which I loved, and A Want So Wicked (Book 2 ) which I cannot WAIT to get my hands on, but still have a long wait until next spring.
So I figured I'd share the amazing trailer for A Need So Beautiful.  If you haven't yet read the book (out June 21st, 2011) then hopefully this will convince you to preorder it SOON!

Enclave Release Day and the Trailer!

Today is the release day for Enclave by Ann Aguirre, and they've just released the trailer as well!
This is one I'm very excited to get my hands on!

Description from MacMillan

"New York City has been decimated by war and plague, and most of civilization has migrated to underground enclaves, where life expectancy is no more than the early 20's. When Deuce turns 15, she takes on her role as a Huntress, and is paired with Fade, a teenage Hunter who lived Topside as a young boy. When she and Fade discover that the neighboring enclave has been decimated by the tunnel monsters—or Freaks—who seem to be growing more organized, the elders refuse to listen to warnings. And when Deuce and Fade are exiled from the enclave, the girl born in darkness must survive in daylight, in the ruins of a city whose population has dwindled to a few dangerous gangs. As the two are guided by Fade’s long-ago memories, they face dangers, and feelings, unlike any they’ve ever known."

Find out more about 'Enclave' here, including the first two chapters, the book cover and an interview with the author!

And here it is!  The fantastic book trailer!

Disclosure: The info and book trailer were provided to me to share with my readers.  In return I am suppose to receive a review copy of the book.

The release of Wind Warrior is June 15th!  So check out this great trailer and then go order the book!

Wind Warrior
by Cynthia Roberts
"Leslie Michaels is a visionary, and only those close to her know of her special gift and the visions that come when her mind and body surrender to sleep. Fate has a way of righting many wrongs, and for Leslie it is a destiny that changes her life dramatically. But not before she is forced to flee into the wilderness to escape a murderous trapper bent on claiming her for his very own. Faith and a strong will to survive are her only companions, until she encounters Winnokin, the handsome Seneca war chief who first came to her in her dreams. Not only does he prove to be her rescuer and protector, he teaches her that tragedy can breed happiness and the passion to live and love deeply once again.
Wind Warrior plunges readers into the intimate depths of a relationship that unfolds like a live drama before their eyes while painting an insightful and intriguing portrait of Native Indian life in the 1800s. It is a story of longing, of a wanton need to survive all odds, and a love so strong it conquers human evil. Wind Warrior expresses with cunning words the simple, raw human emotions that hold readers spellbound and captivate their hearts."
