Feature and Follow Friday is hosted by the lovely Rachel at Parajunkee's View. This is a great way to meet new bloggers and find new blogs! Welcome to my blog!
This week Rachel asks:
My question for you guys, favorite YA, or do you stick to the adult reads?
I LOVE YA, and I read about 3 or 4 and then I need an adult book thrown in there. Some of the YA gets to me a little and I need more adult reading occasionally. I do think YA is my fav, but I like variety.
I'm also doing the Blog Hop hosted by Jenn at Crazy-For-Books. Each week Jenn also picks a question to be asked, and answered (it's always nice to have more to say in the comments!) and this week she asks:
In honor of Book Blogger Appreciation Week, let's take time this week to honor our favorite book bloggers and why we love them!
I actually did a post on this earlier in the week.
Lori from Pure Imagination has been there for me from the beginning. We were friends before we started blogging and we started our blogs around the same time. I had my baby right after that and ended up taking a break for a year but since I started up again early this year she's been very helpful. She also designed my blog and we do events together. I consider her one of my best friends.
Angela from Reading Angel also started her blog around the same and also didn't get as involved with it until early this year. We've shared the journey and our experiences and I consider her one of my best friends as well.
Without the two of them I know my blog wouldn't be what it is today!
And I also have to mention Violet from The Eager Reader's because she is my signing buddy. She has an amazing blog (her reviews are fantastically worded and broke down) and we enjoy the same authors so it's great for us to have each other to meet up at signings.
But I love so many different bloggers, this is only the tip of the iceberg!
Last weekend I didn't do the hop because of BlogFest and I really feel like I've been slacking on visiting blogs. I visited quite a few today, Thursday, but I'm still behind. So when I hop I hope to catch up on some posts.
I have done some reviews and I hosted Scott Nicholson on his tour where he's giving away kindles. I also posted another giveaway for a book. All the links are posted at the top of this post (I put them at the bottom now as well). I'm also posting a great Halloween giveaway on Monday (or Tuesday) with awesome book charms. You can find my teaser post here. This is going to be a regular monthly event featuring book charms that fit each month so you really need to check it out! I'm also planning another Halloween giveaway that I'll post in the next week or so. It's going to be International!
ALSO I changed my domain so please follow me on networked blogs again! And you can change the button if you want but my old domain will still work for awhile. My new domain is now www.candacesbookblog.com
This is an example of the charms.

Hey, Candace! Thanks for stopping by my blog! =) I agree, a variety of books is good, but YA is the best! I also see that you will also be participating in the Welcoming the Fall giveaway! It will be tons of fun!! Fall is my favorite season and a giveaway is a nice way to user it in! I hope you have an amazing weekend! =)
ReplyDeleteHey Candace!
ReplyDeleteJust dropping in to say hi via the Hop! I'm already a follower.
I totally know what you mean about slacking on visiting blogs. Sometimes with everything else going on, I just don't have the time (though I do make an effort)!
Hope you have a fabulous weekend!
Happy HOP! I think that's why I love participating in the different memes because it gives me that chance to visit the blogs I like. Otherwise I'd have no idea how to start :s
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend
