Happy Holidays everyone! I was trying to think of something to leave up for a few days over Christmas that everyone would find interesting. I know that the blogosphere will be quiet, but for those who do get online, I want it to be an interesting bit to read. So I decided to do my Best of 2012 post.
In 2012 I read 214 books (okay, it's not over yet, so it's probably going to be about 218 or so... ) but it was WAY more than my goal of 150!
Putting together these posts is always so HARD for me! I'm always afraid that I'm going to leave one out. Plus it's a hard decision! I also am well aware that there are some books I just haven't managed to squeeze in yet that could very well be on my favorites list. But I guess they'll have to wait for next year!
It actually wasn't hard naming my all time most favorite book of 2012 and that was The Crimson Crown by Cinda Williams Chima, the fourth book in the Seven Realms series. Find my review HERE, warning, it's a total gushfest! Also, a heads up, Shelley at Tsk, Tsk, What to Read are putting together a read-along/challenge for the series starting in March. We just decided on this so details will come by the end of January. Watch for it. And start collecting the books!

Sanctum by Sarah Fine. WHOA, this book totally caught me unexpected! Find my review HERE.
Necromancing the Stone by Lish McBride was a total squeefest for me. Great mix of hilarious and serious. Love this series! Find my review HERE.
Falling for You by Lisa Schroeder. She did it again. I ADORED this book! It's her first YA that's not in verse but was just as good as her verse books. Loved it and read it in only a couple hours. Review is not yet up.
Froi of the Exiles is one I'm not sure if I like more than Finnikin of the Rock or not. Both books were AMAZING so I suppose you could say they both fit this slot. Find my review of Finnikin of the Rock HERE and Froi of the Exiles HERE. (This was one of my most favorite reviews for this year.)
The Crown of Embers by Rae Carson was an absolutely amazing follow up to The Girl of Fire and Thorns. I'm starting to see a pattern here... fantasy is definitely my thing! Find my review HERE.
The Assassin's Curse by Cassandra Rose Clarke. Look at that, another fantasy! Check out my review HERE.
This is now not coming out until next year, but I read it earlier this year and fell in love! The Sweetest Dark by Shana Abe is absolutely stunning! Check out my review HERE.
Freshman Year and other Unnatural Disasters by Meredith Zeitlin. Absolutely laugh out loud funny! One of my top recs for the year, for sure! Find my review HERE.
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. How could this NOT be on my favorites list? I absolutely ADORED this book and it has been a go-to book when buying gifts. Find my review HERE.
