Review of Fade Out (Morganville Vampires #7) by Rachel Caine

Yesterday I read Fade Out, number 7 in Rachel Caines Morganville Vampires series.  Before I tell you my thoughts here's a list of the books in the series, some not yet released but scheduled to be so.

This is a fast moving, action packed series of books that you want all the books right there so you can finish one and immediately pick up the next one.  Several have some serious cliffhangers and it drove me nuts to have to wait!  Then with the last book, Carpe Corpus, it seemed like there was a conclusion and I thought the series was finished.  When I heard it wasn't I thought maybe the author was pushing it a little continuing the series on.  For that reason I didn't rush out to get Fade Out.  Boy, what  mistake!  This book was fantastic!  It had more of my favorite character, Myrnin, and his crazy antics.  It seemed like a more contained story.  The issues came up and Claire, Shane, Eve and Michael worked together to figure it all out.  There was plenty of action but wasn't quite as chair gripping as some of the others, which I found to be a nice relief.  
If you haven't read the books don't read the description.  Just go out and buy the books.  Or rent them or whatever you do.  Then set aside a weekend, or a week, depending on how fast you read, and read them.  Seriously, these are fantastic books!
